Training Montessori Teachers and Assistants about Multi-Cultural Montessori and Promoting Diversity in Montessori Philosophy  and promoting Montessori Social  Justice

Have you ever heard of Montessori? Montessori is a way of teaching children by using the methods of Maria Montessori. Maria Montessori lived from (1870-1952) was the first woman in Italy to become a medical doctor, graduating at the head of her class from the University of Rome. After working with neurologically impaired children in hospital settings, and discovering ways to help them learn, even in their confined situation, she began addressing the educational needs of healthy children.
Her major discoveries were made by observing underprivileged children during the early years of her work in the San Lorenzo Quarter of Rome, in tenement settings. She developed didactic materials with which the children could work independently, making abstractions from concrete experiences.
The teacher became more of a “guide”, letting the children make discoveries for themselves, using the materials, most of which were self-correcting.
The progress of these children, academically and socially, attracted worldwide attention from educators. She expanded her work by opening schools in a number of countries and training teachers to implement her discoveries. Today, her legacy is evidenced by schools on every continent.

Study Guide: Law of Attraction? How to Understand! Now Available on

Learn to change your mind in order to change your life! Attract wealth, Attract good health, Attract love and Develop mindfulness to Attract a peaceful and prosperous life!   What you send out is what you get back. Your frequency determines the reality you will experience.

Hence, physical life--circumstances--are like a mirror, reflecting you. You cannot change the reflection in the mirror without changing yourself.

Simply put, the Law of Attraction is the ability to attract into our lives whatever we are focusing on. It is believed that regardless of age, nationality or religious belief, we are all susceptible to the laws which govern the Universe, including the Law of Attraction. It is the Law of Attraction which uses the power of the mind to translate whatever is in our thoughts and materialize them into reality. In basic terms, all thoughts turn into things eventually. If you focus on negative doom and gloom you will remain under that cloud. If you focus on positive thoughts and have goals that you aim to achieve you will find a way to achieve them with massive action.

This is why the universe is such an infinitely beautiful place. The Law of Attraction dictates that whatever can be imagined and held in the mind’s eye is achievable if you take action on a plan to get to where you want to be.

What Is The Law Of Attraction?

The Law of Attraction is one of life’s biggest mysteries. Very few people are fully aware of how much of an impact the Law of Attraction has on their day to day life. Whether we are doing it knowingly or unknowingly, every second of our existence, we are acting as human magnets sending out our thoughts and emotions and attracting back more of what we have put out.

Unfortunately, so many of us still blind to the potential that is locked deep within us. Consequently, it is all too easy to leave your thoughts and emotions unchecked. This sends out the wrong thoughts and attracts more unwanted emotions and events into your life.

Having said this, discovering that the Law of Attraction is at work within your life should be a great cause for celebration! Once the power of attraction has been understood by you it is no longer secret. Plus, you have learned how to effectively apply these to your everyday life, your entire future is yours to create.

The History Of The Law Of Attraction

Before you begin to embark on the incredible journey towards true enlightenment in the Law of Attraction, it is important that you understand that you can apply it to your life and it can be effective if the correct tools are used. The practices and beliefs in this law have been igniting the lives of great individuals throughout the course of history.

Hundreds of years ago the Law of Attraction was first thought to have been taught to man by the immortal Buddha. It is believed he wanted it to be known that ‘what you have become is what you have thought’. This is a belief that is deeply intrinsic in the Law of Attraction.

With the spread of this concept to western culture also came the term ‘Karma’, it is a belief that is popular throughout numerous societies.

Over the centuries it has been a common understanding amongst many that what you give out to the world (be it anger or happiness, hate or love) is ultimately what can return to your own life in the end.

This simple and easy-to-follow concept has been so popular among many for a large number of years. It demonstrates that the idea of the power of attraction is not new whatsoever. It is already recognizable to many of us in a variety of ways.

The main principles of the Law of Attraction can also be discovered in the teachings of many civilizations and religious groups. An example, in the Proverbs 23:7, it reads ‘As a man thinketh in his heart so is he’. Proof of praise for the Laws of Attraction can be uncovered throughout the ages; all recorded and taught in different ways, but still there for all of humanity to find.

Is The Law Of Attraction Real?

As previously discussed, The Law Of Attraction and its values have been seen throughout history. And a great many women and men who have left their mark on this world have shown the Law of Attraction to be one of the greatest powers on earth; with many well-loved poets, artists, scientists and great thinkers such as Shakespeare, Blake, Emerson, Newton and Beethoven all conveying this message through their many works.

There have been many modern advocates of The Law Of Attraction as well. These include Oprah Winfrey, Jim Carrey, and Denzel Washington. In addition, with over 5.8 MILLION Facebook fans, there are plenty of success stories surrounding The Law Of Attraction.

Where Montessori Education Matters

We are thrilled to see the news of Jeff Bezos’s $2 billion charitable initiatives—the Day One Families Fund and Day One Academies—to fund existing non-profits that help homeless families and to launch high-quality, full-scholarship, Montessori-inspired preschools in historically under-resourced communities.

As a Montessori alum, Mr. Bezos—see preschool photo, at right—knows the value of this distinctive form of education, which nurtures the development of resourceful, independent, and respectful children who embrace a lifelong love of learning.

His vision to bring Montessori education to underserved communities, which is where it all began, more than 100 years ago, reflects the spirit of Dr. Maria Montessori’s philosophy, in which children are seen as the eventual purveyors of worldwide peace and social justice.

Dr. Montessori said, “The child is both a hope and a promise for mankind.”

Through his actions, Mr. Bezos is carrying on her legacy by helping to realize that hope and promise for potentially thousands of children.

We at the American Montessori Society look forward to sharing knowledge, experience, and resources that will support his ambitious and transformative project.

Amazon Owner and CEO Jeff Bezos 64 Billion rich is investing 2 Billion into Montessori to change kids futures

Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos and his wife MacKenzie on Thursday announced a $2 billion philanthropic effort aimed at helping homeless families and starting preschools in low-income communities.

Bezos, believed to be the world's richest man, with a net worth of more than $160 billionannounced the new program on Twitter.

"We're excited to announce the Bezos Day One Fund," he wrote.

The fund will be split between the Day 1 Families Fund, which Bezos wrote will "issue annual leadership awards to organizations and civic groups doing compassionate, needle-moving work to provide shelter and hunger support to address the immediate needs of young families."

The Day 1 Academies Fund "will launch and operate a network of high-quality, full-scholarship, Montessori-inspired preschools in underserved communities," Bezos said.

Bezos said that the preschools will be directly operated by the organization and "use the same set of principles that have driven Amazon."

"Most important among those will be genuine, intense customer obsession," Bezos wrote. "The child will be the customer."

Bezos quoted the poet William Butler Yeats: "Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire."

He then added, "And lighting that fire early is a giant leg up for any child."

The term "Day 1" comes Bezos' personal mantra.

"I talk often about the importance of maintaining a Day 1 mentality," Bezos wrote. "It's always Day 1, and I work hard to apply that mindset to everything I do. It was the Day 1 outlook that made me reach out to ask for suggestions on approaches to philanthropy last year."

Bezos had previously made only limited charitable donations but in June 2017 he put out a call on Twitter for philanthropic ideas. In January, Bezos made his largest-known charitable donation to date, $33 million to, a nonprofit that gives scholarships to "Dreamers," the young, undocumented immigrants who were brought to the U.S. at a young age.

Bezos also recently donated $10 million to a political action committee that supports military veterans running for office.

Bezos and Amazon have come under scrutiny in recent years for the working conditions and salaries of many of its workers, particularly those that work in the company's warehouses. Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., recently introduced the BEZOS Act, which is meant to force companies including Amazon to pay a tax if their workers use social services such as Medicare, food stamps and housing aid.

Montessori Education can help kids understand they are smarter than a machine they do not have to be 9 to 5 workers but they can be authors of their own faiths and become the next Amazon and surpass Jeff Bezos but it starts with a simple Montessori education.
